VILLAHERMOSA, Mexico - Gunmen shot dead eight men and wounded two more in the Mexican state of Tabasco, in southeastern Mexico, local prosecutors said.

The deceased worked as a mechanic in a suburb of the municipality of Cardenas, about 60 kilometers from Villahermosa, Tabasco's capital.
